There is something that is questioning me. In the ep "All That Glitters", Jaga had explained to Lion-O how to reforge the Sword of Omens after Lion-O destroyed the sword from attacking Tygra, a fellow Thundercat. Jaga said the only way to reforge the sword was to go into the volcano not far from where they were. Deep in the volcano, a dwarf star had crashed into the volcano. But no one can enter the volcano, the heat alone would kill him. But Lion-O went in anyway and he didn't break up more than a sweat.
I have a theory of why Lion-O didn't die from the heat. What if Jaga didn't know how strong a Thundercat can take extreme heat? We know the Thundercat signets glow when the Thundercats are called. So what if the signets possessed some sort of power to help them to be able to do things that no other humanoid can, like the humans?
That's my main theory. I just thought of another theory.
Jaga never knew, never had to find out, that Thunderians can take extreme heat.
That's is actually the more logical theory of the two.
Having Thunderians being able to take extreme heat would be the best approach, especially if someone was to write a fic dealing with a Thundercat venturing through a volcano with extreme heat.
