Today is Canada Day and it is the day we, the Canadians, celebrate the birth of our country. Just like in the US, we have a day where a 'Confederation' was signed on July 1, 1867. At that time there were only 4 provinces that were part of Canada "New Brunswick", "Nova Scotica", "Quebec" and "Ontario". Just like Washington DC, Maryland, being the USA capital, we have Ottawa, Ontario as our Country's capital. This is the day where many places have games, coloring contests, face painting, serve cake. Even some tourist attractions get involved by having the dunk tank and mascats and many other different things.

Here are some pictures at 2008's Canada Celebration at the Hopewell Rocks in New Brunswick Canada - an employee from the kitchen staff about to get dunked in the dunk tank - someone frying up the BBQ - a fellow employee wearing an umbrella hat - face painting being done on a customer (my husband) - The cake. There was 2 or 3 cakes for all customers - a mascat of a moose, very common to find where the Rocks is located, in the wild - face painter and a fellow Rocks employee standing around
